• Option 1: 2 guided tours on 7 days per week with guides, who are trained for the different tours on offer.
• Option 2: 3 guided tours on 6 days per week with guides, who are trained for the different tours on offer.
• At least one of the guided tours includes a visit to our neighbouring regions. The transfer will be organised, meaning the point of departure and arrival will be out of town.

WE: Two families together with the "Schönruh Team" and the guides of the Zugspitzguiding bike school. As passionate mountain bikers for more than 20 years and members of MBH for over 10 years, we are fit for our mountain bikeing guests!

Karyn (certified bike guide) is dedicated to mountain biking and enjoys riding her bike several times per week in the fantastic mountain setting of the Zugspitz Arena. Andrea has been exploring her home region for some years on an e-bike and has lots of tips for cool e-adventures.

Grown-up in Ehrwald, we know the Zuspitz Arena with its easy tours, single trails and vertical meters leading to mountain huts and pastures like the back of our hand.  We are happy to share our experiences with our mountain bikers and are ready to share everything worth knowing about mountain biking in our region.

Your personal biking tuition and tailor-made lessons

The professional guides of the Bikeguiding Zugspitzarena Teams meet your individual needs. Every guide has mastered a special guide training. The training content complies with the requirements of the Austrian Cycling Union or any other appropriate institution in one of the countries of the member hotels of MTS. The training must involve programmes with a focus on trourism.

The Bikeguiding team has grown over the years to 8 professional guides guaranteeing maximum riding fun for every level of ability Along with the guided tours in 3 groups depending on your level of ability, the professional guides highlight their most useful tips and interesting tour suggestions On your day of arrival our guide George will provide you with all information you need in the hotel's biking corner.

Bikeguiding Zugspitz Arena

A few vertical meters ahead of us: The guides of the Zugspitz Guiding and their boss George cover thousands of kilometers on their bikes from April to October and know all routes, trails, mountain huts and other specialities of their home region.

Georg is happy to talk shop with you at the hotel. He explains the schedule for the guided tours, classifys the groups based on the level of ability and talks about his biking experiences.

His team counts 8 professionally certified guides: Elgar, Markus,Toni, Kurt, Walter ..... All nice chaps, responsible for different levels of ability from beginner to pros or downhill freaks - our guests have been very satisfied.

Biking facilities at the Schönruh

At our hotel we offer special biking services, facilities and equipement for your mountain biking holidays. Being specialised in mountain biking we cater for all needs of our mountain-biking guests.

The Schönrug special biking services:

• Guided tours in 3 groups based on skill levels on six days per week (except Wednesdays)

• "Lukury suite" for your mountain bike: A lockable bike storage room of 170m² with CCTV is equipped with a bicycle stands and racks, washing machine, bike shower, compressor, tools room, pumps, chain oil,...
• ABUS locks for rent (€1 per day)
• Drying room and shoe dryer
• Bikers' shop with jerseys, cycling gloves, repair kit, socks, googles, tubes, power bars, bottles, ...
• Schönruh BIKERS CORNER - the perfect meeting point for all bikers, who'd like to chat with fellow bikers after a day full of adventures.
• Start each day fresh with our daily laundry service for your cycling clothes (included in our Biking Offers)
• Daily XENOFIT energy package (included in our Biking Offers)
• At our partner shop "Sport Nagele" you can rent a wide range of Specialized bikes: from hardtail and fully mountain bikes in various categories to road bikes in 2 categories as wellas E-bikes. You can order the rental bikes directly online and you'll get a discount of 6%, or upon your arrival at the reception.
• Repair service for bicycles usually over night
• Free rental of spare tubes

After a day on the bike you can simply relax in our spa or have a soothing massage by our professional masseur to get your muscles active again.

The right diet

From our own experience we know that the right diet is vital for your physical activities and your well-being.

An active day in the mountains beginns at our rich breakfast buffet that caters to all tastes: fresh fruits, tea bar, juices, selection of roles and wholemeal bread, cereals corner with grain crusher, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, cheese buffet,... and warm dishes from the breakfast menue.

At the reception energy package from our partner Xenofit are available.

At the Schönruh afternoon jause you can choose from snacks, cakes and strudels to appease your appetite before dinner.

In the evening our chef is commited to meet your individual nutritional requirements, be it a well-balanced or calorie-reduced, light dish with seasonal vegetables, fish or chicken – just let us know what would suit you.

As part of the Schönruh half board you can choose from 3 dishes of our 5-course gourmet menu. Our chef attaches great importance to creating healthy menues with fresh and high-quality products using traditional and modern cooking techniques. The chef also has a knack for beauty – a feast for the eyes as well as the palate!  Simply indulge in culinary delights!
